The Boston-based Maranyundo Initiative supports girls in Rwanda through the Maranyundo Girls School. The Maranyundo Initiative contributes a significant portion of the schools operating budget each year allowing at least 50% of its students from economically vulnerable families to attend. This support also pays competitive salaries to attract and retain high-quality teachers. Grants include funds for major projects such as school expansion as well as routine maintenance and improvements.
The Wagner Foundation believes in the importance of investing in the education of young girls and the long-term impact that has on the community as a whole.
