As the Grants and Impact Manager, David is responsible for overseeing the grantmaking process across all of Wagner Foundation’s giving.
In his role, David builds robust and efficient processes to ensure the foundation’s philanthropic dollars are deployed effectively, equitably, and strategically to advance the goals of the organization. In addition to overseeing all of the technical aspects of grantmaking operations, David also facilitates strategic training internally, and is responsible for knowledge management and continuous learning.
Prior to joining Wagner, David applied his systems thinking to operations and donor engagement at Central Square Theater, and student services at Suffolk University and Fitchburg State. Motivated by the opportunity to design and build systems that empower changemakers, David brought his optimism and belief in strong systems and thoughtful operations to his role at Wagner. What continues to draw David to this work—and keeps him invested—is his belief that when grants are administered with rigor and clarity, organizations can spend less time navigating processes and more time doing the work that transforms lives.
